National Women In Roofing Awards Jacksonville Roofing Leader, Cindy Paquet, with Rooftop Renegade Title
The National Women In Roofing (NWIR) is an organization designed to recognized and help women succeed in the roofing industry. The organization is made up of volunteers who work to help mentor, educate and recruit women, plus provide them with networking opportunities. “Our focus is on connecting and empowering women so that their training and leadership skills can help drive the overall betterment and professionalism of the roofing industry,” NWIR’s about page says.
Why they Named Cindy Paquet the Rooftop Renegade
NWIR said that there were many amazing women to choose from when brainstorming who all should be considered a Rooftop Renegade. “The status quo wouldn’t prepare you for some of the amazing women we have right here in this group,” NWIR said.
Cindy Paquet is the owner of Cache Roofing, a leading roofing business in Northeast Florida. NWIR put Paquet in the running for a multitude of reasons. To start, “Dubbed Northeast Florida’s “Tile Roofing Specialists,” Cindy applies decades of expertise to every single job,” NWIR said.
The NWIR article goes on the describe Paquet’s success from start to finish. Paquet started her career with a Bachelor’s Degree in Sports Medicine. She loves pushing herself to be better physically and mentally. To put that to the test, Paquet became a bodybuilder. NWIR adds this to their many reasons Paquet is deserving of the Rooftop Renegade title. Why? Passion. Her passion and drive for success propelled her to achieve in a male-dominated field.
Paquet went on to do amazing things in the roofing and tile industry. She started in the roofing industry laying tile. Paquet has always enjoyed the artistry behind laying tile. Her ambition took her far beyond laying tile though. She started her own company, Diamond and Paquet Roofing. NWIR took notice of this accomplishment because, “The team consisted of Cindy, five women, and her brother. When asked about her time, she said that she ‘loved being able to outman the men on jobsites,’ and that it was ‘nice to catch the attention from the work we were doing,’”
NWIR continues its impressed description summarizing Paquet’s many ambitious roles. “She held positions like inspector, estimator, sales, project manager, and direct sales while still enjoying the ability to teach others and install tile along the way,” NWIR said.
Paquet’s Goal to Continue Educating and Empowering Women
Paquet has worked hard to be respected in this industry, but it hasn’t come easy. Many individuals have had a hard time believing she is the owner of Cache Roofing or believing that she has the experience to back-up her role as owner. However, through it all, she has gained respect throughout Northeast Florida. She has let her work and passion speak for her, and it hasn’t failed her.
Paquet is always willing to help her neighbors and any woman wanting to succeed in the roofing industry. Her goal is to educate the community on all the amazing roles within the roofing industry and to serve as an example, a role model, for any woman wanting to succeed in this field.
